〈Hong Kong Business, May 15, 2026〉CBRE valued the Tung Chung Area 106A residential site at about $960m, or around $1,800 per square foot (psf) gross floor area (GFA), indicating modest upside compared with the adjacent Area 106B site sold to Sun Hung Kai Properties in early 2025.
CBRE said its launch reflects the government’s measured and pragmatic land supply strategy, as this year’s programme remains relatively lean amid a still-recovering market.
The consultancy said prioritising a rolled-over and straightforward site shows an intent to support smoother tender outcomes, whilst signalling a cautious stance on market absorption and revenue expectations.

Sun Hung Kai Properties (0016), K Wah International (0173), China Overseas Land & Investment (0688), and a consortium formed by Sino Land (0083) and Kerry Properties (0683), were said to have submitted their offers for the site.

〈Asian Post, May 13, 2026〉An industrial site at No. 3 Luk Hop Street in San Po Kong, Kowloon East has hit the market, with sole agent CBRE highlighting its potential for redevelopment into hotel and student accommodation.
The site covers about 5,700 square feet (sq ft) and is designated for industrial and/or godown use under the land lease.
The Town Planning Board has approved an increase in plot ratio from 12 times to 14.4 times, allowing a maximum gross floor area of about 82,080 sq ft, with foundation works having been completed.
〈RTHK News, May 12, 2026〉The Housing Bureau on Thursday said the average waiting time for a public housing unit dropped to 4.7 years in the latest quarter – making it the lowest in more than eight years.
The waiting period was 0.4 years shorter than in the previous quarter.
In a statement, the bureau noted that the figure stood at the highest level of 6.1 years before the current-term government took office in July 2022 and fell below five years for the first time.
Officials aim to reduce the period to four-and-a-half years in 2026/27.
